ABOUT ASCENSION
Ascension is one of the most unique and hard-hitting upcoming acts in bass music, earning support from major artists including Zeds Dead and securing performances on Sippy’s 2025 tour and Dancefestopia’s 2025 tour. With the help of the debut EP, “EXOCHANT” in August 2025, Ascension has generated 6.8M+ social media views, 1M+ music streams, and 15K+ followers in under eight months. Originals like “Chromecore (2024),” “Frozen Deep (2025),” “Prison Portal (2025),” and “MATTERDROP (2025)” have become fan favorites and are now being played by artists worldwide. Ascension has also built momentum on SoundCloud through a series of viral remixes, including flips of Annie Lennox’s “I Put A Spell On You,” Social House’s “Magic in the Hamptons,” Frank Sinatra’s “My Way,” and Madonna’s “Like a Prayer.”
The project began in Nashville (2024), created by producer and 14-year classically trained multi-instrumentalist Nathan Staley. Originally from Kansas City and now fully nomadic, Staley built Ascension as a fluid, evolving platform. Ascension’s visual symbol—two blueish-purple hands lifting upward—represents the project’s core purpose: using music as a force that elevates listeners to a higher state. Film, animation, and narrative-driven visuals are central to the live experience, reflecting Ascension’s focus on transformation, movement, and taking the audience somewhere beyond the ordinary.
Nathan Staley, the producer driving Ascension, is intentional about separating his identity from the project. He maintains that Ascension should be recognized as a concept larger, broader, and more impactful than any one creator.
